A Thought About Sunil ji Fotedar
I have often wondered why the person who has
all the impeccable credentials to be a great KOA
leader, has never thrown in his hat for the
contest for the top spot at KOA.
Thank heavens I do not have to wonder any more.
Now that Mr. Sunil Fotedar of Texas is a candidate
for the KOA President, it is time to put in a word
or two highlighting his contribution to KOA for
the past two decades or so, which he has made from
time to time, sans any flamboyance, fanfare and flim-flam,
which of late has become the stock in trade at
KOA.
He epitomizes what is essentially good about
noble beings and, what is expected of a candidate
for the Presidency of a cultural organization such
as KOA. He has made stellar contribution to the
community over the years, be it the KOA website
which he started on his own initiative or the
links to various sources of our music, plays and
all that defines our heritage, with which most of
us are familiar, and so essential to refurbish and
nurture our cultural roots and enhancement of
our lives. His contribution to the enhancement of
the lives of poor brethren in the refugee camps in
Jammu for the last several years, is a testament
to his compassion for the poor, which he has
displayed, despite odds which were stacked
against him at one time. That is indeed a man with
exemplary character and integrity. In spite
of his unique contribution to our community, he is
a man replete with humility and thank heavens, is
very apolitical, which is the need of the hour at
KOA. What else do we expect of our KOA President? He
has done it all and deserves our unqualified
support.
I would therefore appeal to all right- thinking
members of our community to cast their valuable
vote for Mr. Sunil Fotedar, a person of stellar
human qualities.
