KOA Communiqué # 10

Sunil Fotedar for United & Productive KOA

Namaskaar!

It is now time for KOA members to cast their ballot to make their choice for the next KOA President. As a member of the larger Kashmiri Pandit community it is not just a right but our duty to cast our vote to give KOA a new direction for the future and help it regain some of its past stature.

Over the last few weeks I have communicated with as many of our members as humanly possible. If there are still any outstanding questions or concerns, I invite you to contact me right away. My goal has been to elucidate my priorities as KOA President and more importantly to listen to what the biradari has to say about the present and the future. I hope that in these individual conversations, our informative emails and our simple but informative website we have provided everything you would need to make an informed choice.

I have been touched by the enthusiasm of our community members. I have also been touched by the candor with which most members have communicated their opinions and feelings about the community to me. I hope these open communication channels continue to help us stay united and focused in the future.

You will have noticed how dynamic the Endorsements section of my website has become with the show of support from all quarters. I would encourage you to contact any of these endorsers and many other supporters should any last-minute questions still exist.

I am hopeful that our sensible community looks at my years of community service and will not be influenced by misinformation and mendacious remarks made against my good name and family. Even though I have received several provocative, abusive and malicious emails, I have chosen not to respond to those to ensure that our campaign stays positive and on the right track. If you have any questions or concerns, please free to contact me directly at any time.

As mentioned in my previous communiqués, my motivations for being KOA President are:

  • To set KOA on the right course, which currently seems to have lost its way.
  • To address the needs of the members living in this country, including the youth.
  • That we as a community are mature enough to hold decent and civil elections so that community members in future don't feel demoralized to volunteer their services.

I hope our positive campaign during this election has set a standard for future KOA election campaigns especially after the turmoil our community went through in the last two elections. This already makes our community a winner.

I invite you to visit my website with some of its critical content at:

In closing, this is a humble request for your vote. Your vote for me is a vote for a united, brighter and productive organization for our community. I have complete faith in you that you will trust me with your important vote.

Thanks for your kind support and encouragement.

Best regards,
Sunil Fotedar

Candidate for KOA President
